Christmas Day

When Kendall woke up we went out and opened presents. She got a pillow pet, a little kitchen, train, a turtle night light shines stars on the ceiling, and some puffs and tub toys in her stocking. Shad got some new cologne, wallet, and some new shoes. I got a new purse, perfume, and a DVD. We all had a great Christmas.

Kendall in her Christmas dress.... the dress did not last long. She was allergic to the fur or something. Her eyes got all watery and red. She looked cute while it lasted!

My family comes over on Christmas.. we eat tons of food and play some games (i am awful at remembering to get pictures so I only got this one). Here is all of the kids on the stairs... don't worry when the picture was over all the kids got up and let Kendall fall down the stairs.

Jay and Debbie gave Kendall this cute wagon for Christmas. Shad put it together and put her toys in it and pulled her around the house. She thought that was pretty cool.

Christmas Eve we went over to Shad's Mom and Dad's house. We ate some yummy chili and just hung out. It was the first time Kendall got to open presents. She was not real into opening them, but she loved what she got.

Shad, Kendall, and I met my sister and her kids at the Christmas Village in Ogden. It was FREEZING! We had Kendall all bundled up, she looked liked the kid off of A Christmas Story. I had not been there forever. It was fun to see all of the little houses.

We took Kendall to see Santa at the Newgate Mall. My Mom and Dad met us there because they wanted to see how Kendall would react. Well she was in the BEST mood. We had to wait in line for about 15 min because Santa was off feeding his reindeer. She was great waiting in line. I don't know if there was Christmas spirit in the air, but she was so happy. When we got up to see Santa Kendall didn't quite know what to think of him. She sat on his lap for a bit and then she started to cry. After Santa my Dad showed her the Rudolf that was twirling around and she was clapping her hands and squealing at the top of her lungs. People were stopping just to watch her. It was so funny. I hope I never forget that moment.

6 Months Old....Already?

Kendall is already 6 months old! (really almost 7, but a little late at getting these posted) Where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday we were telling everyone we were expecting. We are so blessed to have such a good little baby. She is really starting to get her personality.. When we had these taken she was being a little turkey! I swear it was like all she had for breakfast was caffeine. My Aunt Leslie got her these little shoes. They are called Heelarious!

Here is Kendall in her Halloween costume. She was going to be a strawberry, but then I was at Gymboree one day and they had this costume for 3.99!! I could not pass it up. 4 Month Appointment

Kendall had her 4 month appointment on Monday. She had to get shots and she hated every second of it. She has had a hard time with this set of shots. I had to stay home from work with her on Tuesday because she had a slight fever and just wasn't feeling very good. Here are her stats...

Family Vacation

We took our first family vacation over the weekend. I was nervous because I didn't know how Kendall would do on the ride there and sleeping in a different place. I had nothing to worry about. She was such a trooper! She was great on the ride up and the first night of sleeping she was a little fussy, but not bad. The first night we stayed in my Mom and Dad's trailer in Yellowstone and the 2ND night we stayed in West Yellowstone and 3rd night in Jackson Hole. I felt like I packed her entire room. I didn't know what the weather was going to be like and I needed to pack diapers, toys, etc.... It was a great vacation. We got to see my cousins and their families that I don't get to see very often. The weather was nice, a little to windy for Kendall in Yellowstone so we didn't get to walk around the hot pots.. I was kinda sad because I had not walked around them in years, but oh well. It was so windy that we had a blanket covering her stroller to keep her from the wind and it blew away into a river and Shad had to chase it down! Good thing it didn't fall into a hot pot Ü

Fun at the Fair

We took Kendall to the Weber County Fair. She could have cared less but I wanted to show her all of the animals. There was a pig there and I thought it's name was Shad, but when I was telling Shad's Mom she said she thought the boy who was showing the pig was named Shad... Oh well it was still funny!

On July 10th we blessed Kendall. We had the blessing at our home where we are not real active in the church. My Dad gave her a blessing and it was very special. We had lots of friends and family there. Kendall was so good during her blessing, she didn't make a sound. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us on this special day. There were so many friends and family there and do you think I could get pictures of any of them?? NO. I am horrible.

4th of July

On the 4th of July we started the day out by going to the Plain City parade. It was pretty chilly the wind was blowing. People were wearing sweatshirts and coats. Kendall was wearing a tank and shorts so we had to keep her bundled up. She loved watching the parade and the kids play in front of us. She fell asleep half way through the parade. Then we just stayed at the park and watched some of the activities they had going on. It was a fun day! Hope everyone had a fun 4th!!

We met Brooklyn and her kids and Brittney and the boys at the splash park in Riverdale on Thursday. The kids were having a great time. The best part is it is FREE!! Kendall liked watching the kids play and liked all of the colors. She did not get wet, but maybe before summer is over she can.

I was looking at blogs one day and ran across http://jenahendryphotography.blogspot.com/ she was offering mini sessions for Fathers Day, and I thought that would be a cute idea to get Shad. Then I thought it would be a better idea to get family pictures so that is what we did. Jena did an amazing job. Kendall was so good... She was wide awake the whole time. I was telling Shad's Mom that I was going to do this and she wanted to have the kids pictures taken for Jay for Fathers Day so we had them done as well.

Well I had two amazing baby showers... sure they were a month ago, but better late then never for posting... The first one was at my house... it was my friend shower and my family shower on my side. My Mom and Jenn did a great job. We had awesome food, and a great turnout! Kendall and I got spoiled. It was so much fun opening all the cute little gifts. My Aunt Leslie and Aunt Billie came in from out of town for the shower. It was so nice to have them there. They were great helps during the shower. Thanks to everyone who came!

Yikes Stripes!!

Shad wanted to paint the nursery in stripes. After a battle of the colors we decided on green. I won the battle =) He did an amazing job! He also put up a chair rail and painted that. Baby Update....

I went to the doctor and he said that everything is looking good. Last time I went my fluid was low so they were a little concerned, but yesterday he said my fluid was normal. He said that she is measuring at 28 weeks so we are right on track. She weighs 2 1/2 pounds. Dr Bierer said if I go full term she will weigh a little over 7lbs. My appts are now scheduled for every 3 weeks which means that the end is getting near!!

Shad and I went to Maui in December. We had the best time! We stayed at the best hotel. It was called the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa. The pools were so much fun, I wish I would have taken a water camera so we could have gotten better pictures of the pool. There were seven water slides and a water elevator. The water elevator was operated by 18,000 gallons of water. It is the only one in the world. There was also an adult pool, but we never went there because we had to much fun on the water slides. =)

We went on a sunset dinner cruise. It was very cloudy and windy so there was not a sunset, but we did see a whale!

One morning we got up at 3:30... Yes I said it 3:30 to watch the sunrise.. It was a long drive and a little rough on me, but we made it and it was freezing up there. My friend Valerie that lives in Maui told us it was going to be cold so make sure we dress warm. Valerie thought it was chilly when we were eating dinner outside the night before and it was still like 70 degrees... so Shad and I were thinking it won't be bad. Well it was like 40 degrees and it was cold. I think we were the only ones wearing shorts!! Good thing I took the blanket from the hotel. It really was amazing there. The view was beautiful. On the way up it felt like we were driving in the stars.

We also went to a Luau... the food was a little questionable for me but the entertainment was great. There was a fire dancer at the end of the show and it was pretty cool to watch.

On our last day there we spent some time at an aquarium. They had all kinds of cool fish there. This is one of my favorites. It was called a frog fish.

All and all we had a great time!! Weird to think that was our last trip with just the two of us. Well maybe not our last, but you know what I mean =)

Today we celebrated our six year anniversary. I can not believe we have been married six years. I am lucky to have such a great husband. Shad is such a hard worker and I know we would not be were we are today if it was not for him.

This year the Easter egg hunt was out in the fields. Jay and Debbie do such a good job at hiding eggs. There were eggs everywhere from the hay stack to up in trees! The kids had such a great time.

Southern Caribbean Cruise

Shad and I just got back from our cruise. We had such a great time. We flew out early Friday morning. We stayed one night in San Juan, Puerto Rico. On Saturday we went and walked around Old San Juan. It was really fun. There is tons of little shops. We went and toured a old fort it was called Castillo San Cristobal. It was built as early as 1539 by the Spaniards as part of a defensive system. Then we got on our ship and it was time to relax and enjoy the warm weather!

Welcome Aboard the Celebrity Summit.
January 24th-31st

First Stop... Philipsburg, St Maarten

St Maarten was beautiful. There was tons of shopping there. Believe it or not I did not spend very much money shopping =). We shopped for a few hours and then we went to the beach. The beach had nice white sand and the water was not to cold. Shad's favorite part was a lady tanning on the beach without her top!

Next... Roseau, Dominica

In Dominica we toured the island. On the tour we went to the Botanical Gardens, Sulpher Springs, and Trafalger Falls. The tour was about 3 hours long. It was so pretty their. It is a rain forest so everything was so green and beautiful. On the tour you had to walk about 10 minutes to see the Trafalger Falls. They call them the Mama and Papa waterfalls. It was pouring rain and people were wearing ponchos and had umbrellas. Shad and I did not take either of those so we were soaked, but it was still fun! What do you expect in a rain forest, right?

Next Stop St. George's, Grenada

In Grenada we really did not do much. We went and walked through the town, bought some spices and that is about it. We did walk through this tunnel and it was a little scary because it was pretty narrow and the people would honk at you when they drove by.

In Bonaire we went to the beach. It was so pretty and had the best sand. You could walk out for miles and it only went up to your hip. There were tons of people wind surfing. On the island there are more flamingos then humans. We saw tons of flamingos, but I did not get a picture of them.

Next and final stop... Oranjestad, Aruba

We had such a great time in Aruba. We took a tour of the island on a "Party Bus". The bus had a DJ in the back so they played loud music as we toured the island. The bus driver was crazy!

We went to Senor Frogs after touring the island. It was crazy there. Shad and I were sitting there and all of the sudden the music changes and the waiters and waitress all start to hoot and haller and then they throw a sombrero on your head, throw your head back and start pouring alcohol down your throat! I was nervous that they were going to do it to me, but luckily they only did it to Shad =)

I found this picture on Shad's camera so I thought I would post it. Shad went hunting in November with some of his friends. They go to Montanna deer hunting. Shad finally got one this year. He is getting the head mounted and THINKS he is going to hang it in our new house. I told him the garage is free or the basement. =) Not sure of the size or anything, but I think it was a pretty nice one.

The exterior of the home is almost complete. We still need to get garage doors and front steps. Shad is working on the interior of the home. He is working on the tile, finish work, and will soon start to paint. We are getting excited to move in.

I don't really have any pictures to post. I was not very good at taking pictures on Christmas Eve or Christmas. We had a great holiday. Christmas Eve we spent with Shad's family. We played games and just enjoyed each others company. Christmas day we spent with my family. Everyone came over and we ate, and watched the kids open their presents. It was crazy, but fun.

The house is coming along... I would post pictures but it has been covered in plastic so there really is not much to see. The outside is finished. Whats left on the inside is the finish work, tile, hardwood, carpet, and paint (not in that order). We are getting anxious to move in. We were hoping to be in by February, but are thinking it will be closer to March.

Shad and I are getting ready to go on our cruise, and we are excited about that. We leave on January 23rd. It will be so nice to get out of this cold weather! Hopefully Shad will relax and not worry about the house..

Kurt Bestor

I took my Mom and Dad to the Kurt Bestor Christmas Concert on Tuesday night. We had a great time. His music is so good. If you have never been to a concert you should try to go. It got all of us in the Christmas spirit. After the concert we were waiting for the car (we had it valet parked) and Kurt Bestor was signing autographs. Brooklyn got her CD signed, and when Kurt walked down the stairs my Mom wanted her picture taken with him. She is a huge fan. This picture is from my Dads phone so it is not very good. But now my Mom can say she has met Kurt Bestor. Thanks Dad, Mom, and Brooklyn for a fun night. Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!

I am going to be having a Simply Fun Game Party. The party will be on Wednesday December 3rd. It is an open house from 6-8. It is at my house, if you need directions just let me know, and I will get them to you. You can view what products they sale at www. simplyfun.com. All of the games they sale will be at the party. You order the games and they take about 10 days to get to you.

The house is coming along nicely. The brick, and rock is going up on the outside and the sheet rock is going up on the inside. The brick is done on both sides, and they are starting on the back. They will be starting on the rock this week. On the front where it is not bricked it will be rock. Most of the sheet rock is up, but they still have to mud and tape.

I went to the Harry Potter house with Brooklyn, John and the kids on Halloween. The house is located in South Ogden. It is fun to go to, the house is decorated like you are at Hogwarts. You are Harry Potter and are walking through Hogwarts. There is people walking around like the characters in the books and movies. Sorry I do not know everyone's name, but if you are a Harry Potter fan, I am sure you can pick them out!

We had our annual Christensen/Robins Halloween party. It was tons of fun. We bobbed for apples, played musical chairs, stuck our hands in witches brew, had sack races, and pumpkin bowling. Jake dressed up this year and he was like 12 feet tall, and scared most of the kids.

I went to Witches' Night Out with some friends from work on Friday night. It was really fun. I could not believe all of the people. We walked around, shopped, watched all of the witches. Jani, Natalie and Kori had their cards read. I had a great time!! Thanks girls!!

Black Island Farms

Today, I went to Black Island Farms with some of my family. There is so much to do their. We started out on a hay ride to a pumpkin patch where we got to pick out a pumpkin. From there we went and played on all of the slides. We walked through a corn maze, and watched pig races. It was really fun!

Starting out on the hay ride to get our pumpkins. Carson was exhausted after picking out his pumpkin.

There was a little cow train their. I think it was meant for the kids, but Grandma and Brittney had fun on it too.

There was this huge slide called the grain chute. I was the lucky one that got to take Will on it. I think Carson went on it like a dozen times. He was having so much fun.

The Framing Is Done!!

The framing is done on the house. I can not believe how fast it is going up. Everyone tells me now the long part begins. The heating, and air conditioning guys are done. The plumber is about half way done. The roofer has started, but with the weather he has not finished yet. Shad, his brother, and his friend Joel have been working on the electrical, and hope to be done by next weekend so we can have the 4 way inspection.

Zoo

I went to the Zoo last week with Brooklyn, Ella, and Will. I have not been to the zoo in years so, it was fun to see the animals and all of the changes. Will loved riding the train and Ella wanted to play on the toys. We saw the white alligator, they call it the "Ghost of the Bayou"..

I am wondering if it was real? It did not move the whole time we were there.

We are building a new home in Plain City. Our friend Chad Christiansen, with Empire Homes, is framing the house. Shad is going to be the general contractor. We are hoping it will be done by February. I can not wait to move in!
